It came down to a small group of stellar riders who had outpaced their support riders for the most part. It was close down to the last few seconds and there were several impressive performances. Ryder Hesjedal became the first Canadian to win a grand tour (Giro d'Italia, Tour de France,&nbsp;Vuelta Ciclista a EspaƱa). The article linked here discusses an early coach, former Swiss Speed Skater, <span>Juerg Feldmann,</span>&nbsp;and some of his methods and tools (notably the SpiroTiger, for which this might be somewhat of a PR plant?).
